I'm back on track, Take 2!

Hi lovelies, I know it's been a while, I was so caught up with work, my other blog, my personal life, after the holidays that I wasn't able to being update with my training/workout and obviously, my wicked fitness blog :(

Every day I was looking at my blog and didn't want to post things that wasn't of pure interest just for having something posted so I decided to take my time and come back when I was ready. So that day has arrived! Before Xmas, I tried the military diet that didn't really work out fine for me! I was hoping (well, maybe ''dreamed'' might be more accurate, because honestly, I don't have 10 lbs. to lose...), but only did 2 lbs. 2 lbs. wasn't worth the effort I put in this diet and the diet itself was kind of too hard for someone used to eat like I do, due to my training.

Lately, I decided to go on vacation and guess what? When I try on my bikini, I cry out loud in seeing my shape, it was a disaster! After the holidays, I came back to my 130 lbs. and maybe even more. I think I was at 132 lbs. when I tried my bikini.

I have 3 weeks to lose as much as I can so last week, I came back to my normal diet and lost 2 lbs. Plus I had some cross fit course (with a friend of mine) (2-3 times a weeks) and today I was at 128 lbs.! YAY! I hope to be able to take the plane at 125 lbs., that's my ultimate goal for February 3rd 2013!

I add to my diet this: capsule of Green Tea! (I hate the ''diet'' word, because honestly, it's not a diet, it's just eating well and clean and workout almost every day). It’s my first capsule today and I will be able to tell you in a few days, if I see some changes, ameliorations...

It's supposed to ''boost energy'' and ''support weight loss goal''. Everything is natural in those capsules. Most of all, it contains green tea, caffeine, ginger, guarana, vitamin B6, algae...

And I got some new tools (as Xmas gifts) to help me through my journey! Thanks mom and dad for the watch! I also got 15 lbs. and 20 lbs. Kettle bells from family and friends! YAY!

Military Diet, day 3 and result!

DAY 3:

Breakfast
5 Saltine Crackers, 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese, and 1 Small Apple

Lunch
1 Hard-Boiled Egg, and 1 Slice of Toast

Dinner
1 Cup of Tuna, 1/2 of a Banana, and 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream

Finally, the third day.... All day I was OMG I'm hungry... But today, I was at home... So it was even harder than the last two day and I have to admit that I cheated at the end of the day, I was dying.... I eat some baby food....Like 1 tea spoon of baby food...

Anyway, tomorrow first thing in the morning: check the result!

And as I predicted.... drum roll...... Saturday December 22nd....

127.8 lbs....

Well I did lost 2 lbs. but God; I didn't eat at all for 3 days! LOL

I'm a bit disappointed I was hoping to have lost at least 5 lbs. I didn't feel a lot of change (on my physical) but I was wondering if I didn't lost 10 lbs. was it because I didn't do the diet the right way or maybe because I don't really have 10 lbs. to lose!

I also workout on the first day of the diet, on day 2 and 3 I was so exhausted from work that I didn't move after dinner. Surely this one would have helped me to lose maybe 1 to 2 pounds... (Even 2 pounds is big...), but I think it's a great way to realise how much you usually eat in one day. I did realise that I eat a lot each day. Of Course, I'm the kind of person who eats rather well; I love fruits, veggies, soy, seeds, meat, pasta, yogurt... I do love, crave cupcakes and candy but I can resist the urge! Mostly!

I will probably try it again later, maybe after the Holidays.

This picture was taken on Monday December 17th at 129. 8 lbs. After the Insanity Program

This one was taken on Wednesday December 19th. First day of the Military Diet.

This one was taken on Saturday December 22nd at 127.8 lbs.

I don't really see the physical change... :(

Thanks for ''following'' me through this little diet. Hope that my feedback helped you!

WOD x2!

Monday October 29th:

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 reps for time of
Sumo deadlift high pull 20lbs
 +
Lateral jumps over 18'' obstacle

Oufff! Yesterday I did the WOD from CrossFit Mamas and it wasn't an easy one....I think I did a good time, but the lateral jumps weren't really over 18'' obstacle... I did my best: I jump over 12'' and did a little over so I guess it was enough, but might have taken me more than 9:13 minutes to do it!

Tuesday October 30rd:

Also from CrossFit Mamas:
For time:
Run 500m
30 bench 20 lbs
Run 1000m
20 bench 20 lbs
Run 2000m
10 bench 20 lbs

Since I don't have a treadmill and the temperature and light won't let me run outside after supper, I do it on the elliptical, even if it doesn't work the same way... anyway I'll post my result tonight or tomorrow!

I wasn't able to do it so... no time! :(

Mantrum and Pasta and more!

This week Mantrum is:
To prouve to myself that this dream can become a REALITY!

I'm a big fan of pasta and naturally, I have to try them! Yummy! I picked up the recipe for you, but you can also go get it at Fitness Magazine!

Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 20 mins
Makes: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces whole-wheat spaghetti
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1/4 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
4 jarred roasted red peppers, finely chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
3 ounces fresh goat cheese, crumbled

DIRECTIONS

1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, reserving 1 1/2 cups pasta water; drain.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, roasted red peppers and sugar and cook until just thickened, about 2 minutes. Transfer red pepper mixture to a blender; process until smooth.
3. Return pan to stove, add thyme and red pepper flakes and cook over medium-low heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add spaghetti, red pepper puree and salt to pan, stirring to combine. Add reserved pasta water and cook over medium-low heat until sauce just clings to spaghetti, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with walnuts and goat cheese.

I'll try this one and feedback later!

Also: these are cute and seems comfortable! I know it's no more the season to wear these but if you're like me and you're training inside, it's still ok even in Autum! Still 88$ :S (Found on FitSugar)

Fit test #4 (of the Insanity program) is next week (Monday, October 1st, 2012) and I'm not quite sure (as usual) if I'm getting better on physical plan. Some people told me they saw some changes... I saw it too but I'm pretty intriguing right now with the pictures and measurements I will take on Monday!

So true!

Hope I will do better than Fit Test #3 who was a total massacre! Oh BTW my arms are better now and I can do my pushups too! In the second month of the Insanity program, we do differents figures as the pushups with the elbows ''in'' (the Triceps pushups)

OMG it's even harder and my elbows are screaming! Anyway I'll come back later on this one too :P

Have a great weekend!

Fit test #3

Wednesday September 19th

123.4 lbs. (I lost 1.8 lb. since the Fit Test #2) YAY! Happy with this result because, last weekend, I had my friends at home for supper and I ate a lot of foods, desserts and drunk a lot of alcohol!!!

Week: 6
Fit Test #3
Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep): 45
Power jacks: 58
Power Knees: 100
Power Jumps: 40
Globe Jumps (4 Jumps = 1 rep): 9
Suicide Jacks: 15
Push-up Jacks: 23
Low Plank Oblique: 60

Ok you might have noticed that I improved some exercises and others not really… Last Friday, I thought I was Wonder Woman or something because I did some push-up too hard and I hurt my right arm. Since Friday September 14th it’s a living hell with my arm IT HURTS!!!!! I started the new month a little slower and I see it in the Fit Test.

I had to say that the second month is also a little bit harder than the first one. The workouts are longer and the exercises are different, more intense… I just hope I'll heal fast (stupid arm… stupid me…)! So it’s a hard week for me, for my spirit. Since Monday I almost cry at every workout and it’s quite difficult for me to even complete the entire workout. I think the recovery week didn’t help me! Anyway now here are my measurements:

Arms: 26cm
Breast: 83cm (lost L)
Upper belly: 72cm
Lower belly: 82.5cm
Tights: 96.5cm
Butt: 95cm

Measures on September 10th, 2012

Ok Peeps, these are my news measures, after the first month of Insanity. I have to say that I didn't missed one workout, but sometime, I had to take my ''day off'' sooner (Usually on Sunday) because of my job. But, in general, everything went fine!

Monday September 10th;

124 LBS
Arms: 26 cm
Breast: 84 cm
Upper Belly: 72 cm
Belly or lower Belly: 82 cm
Legs: 56.5 cm
Butt: 96.5 cm
Thighs: 96 cm

Instead of

123.6 LBS
Arms: 28.5 cm
Breast: 86.5 cm
Upper Belly 71.5 cm
Belly or Low Belly: 83.5 cm
Legs: 57.5 cm
Butt: 97.5 cm
Thighs: 97.5 cm

I can see the progress on paper, a little bit on picture too, but I want greatest results. When I saw the pub of Insanity on TV I was: WOW look at these guys, they are all ripped up! I want to look like this:

I wish I was taller!
Found on Dang she Fine

Then I was wondering if I really needed to ''dry'' (Sorry I don't know the term in English... in French it's ''sèche'') to have my abs looking like those!

And I talked about meals...

Fit Test # 2

This week Mantrum: Because I want and needed for myself, and not for anyone else. This is probably the best reason and the first reason to start and continued to be fit.
Find it on

because

Now, this is my result of my second Fit Test, I didn't looked the results of my first fit test, so I didn't know I much I made or had to make. I didn't want to overdo the exercises; I wanted to check my REAL progress.

Monday August 27th

125.2 lbs.  (I took 2lbs since the first Fit Test)

Week : 3
Fit test # 2

Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep): 43
Power jacks: 62
Power Knees; 94
Power Jumps; 30
Globe Jumps (4 Jumps = 1 rep): 11
Suicide Jacks: 16
Push-up Jacks: 24
Low Plank Oblique: 55

As far as I'm concern, this workout is insane, but it feels so good at the end! Yes, I'm sweating, yes my muscles are screaming and I'm out of breath, but I'm so drain and satisfied!

At first I was a little bit scared because in last January, I burned out my right knee. But before and after each workout, we stretched the muscles of the body so I guess its ok, for now!

Result of my first Fit Test, from the Insanity Program by Beach Body.

Ok, here are my results of my first Fit Test, done on Monday August 13th:

Week 1:
Fit Test  #1

Switch Kicks ( 2 kicks = 1 rep) : 40
Power jacks : 53
Power Knees ; 90
Power Jumps ; 25
Globe Jumps (4 Jumps = 1 rep) : 7
Suicide Jacks : 12
Push-up Jacks : 20
Low Plank Oblique : 40

So this is what it’s look like after my 25 minutes of ”Fit Test”. I hope that I’ll see progress, and not only on paper!
Now, I did my ” Pure Cardio” training this morning since last night I wasn’t able to train ( I did a double shift on my job last night!) So I trade my ”Sunday Off” for a ”Friday Off” and I will finish my first week on Sunday Morning (No Doubt), August 19th.

Now this is how I looked after my first week, yes I did it!
Is there some oblique abs under the muffin top....
