Work, working out, eating and just be.... + Carob Chip Protein Cookies recipe to try

How to combine everything?

A lot of work at my job this week, well since last week and it will go on until the end of next week.... I do double shift and I just can't find the time to do my workout... I woke up early yesterday to be able to do the Cardio Recovery from my Insanity Program and even if it was a ''recovery'' workout, I didn't feel I was full into it.... That's a shame because I don't want to miss or ''scrap'' a workout, and after 3 weeks of this program, I can't seem to feel or even see the progress... I think I will have to adjust my eating schedule and probably eat less or with less oats flour....

I'm a sugar freaks: the four ''C'' (candy/cake/cupcakes/cookies)  so it's rather hard for me on the eating plan....

Anyway, I'll try this recipe this weekend, and I'll post my feedback later this week, maybe if you want to try it too and gives me your impressions, that would be great to: P

I recently tried a pumpkin muffin recipe and I wanted to give my impression:

They are pretty good in the morning, if you don't have the time and patience to make a good and healthy breakfast

Ingredients

1 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
1 scoop of Whey Protein (vanilla flavor)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon stevia or something similar
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 large egg white
1/4 cup low-fat milk or almond milk
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line muffin tin with muffin cups.

Whisk dry ingredients and spices together in a large bowl.

Add pumpkin, oil, milk and egg white to a medium size bowl and mix thoroughly. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredient and mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Fill muffin cases evenly and bake for 18 to 25 minutes

Makes 14 muffins.

I put them in the freezer (when they totally chilled out!) because they aren't won't last more than 2 days on your counter. Even if they are kept in a container. I took them out of the freezer the night before.

App. 250 calories each muffin.

Fit Test # 2

This week Mantrum: Because I want and needed for myself, and not for anyone else. This is probably the best reason and the first reason to start and continued to be fit.
Find it on

because

Now, this is my result of my second Fit Test, I didn't looked the results of my first fit test, so I didn't know I much I made or had to make. I didn't want to overdo the exercises; I wanted to check my REAL progress.

Monday August 27th

125.2 lbs.  (I took 2lbs since the first Fit Test)

Week : 3
Fit test # 2

Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep): 43
Power jacks: 62
Power Knees; 94
Power Jumps; 30
Globe Jumps (4 Jumps = 1 rep): 11
Suicide Jacks: 16
Push-up Jacks: 24
Low Plank Oblique: 55

As far as I'm concern, this workout is insane, but it feels so good at the end! Yes, I'm sweating, yes my muscles are screaming and I'm out of breath, but I'm so drain and satisfied!

At first I was a little bit scared because in last January, I burned out my right knee. But before and after each workout, we stretched the muscles of the body so I guess its ok, for now!

Result of my first Fit Test, from the Insanity Program by Beach Body.

Ok, here are my results of my first Fit Test, done on Monday August 13th:

Week 1:
Fit Test  #1

Switch Kicks ( 2 kicks = 1 rep) : 40
Power jacks : 53
Power Knees ; 90
Power Jumps ; 25
Globe Jumps (4 Jumps = 1 rep) : 7
Suicide Jacks : 12
Push-up Jacks : 20
Low Plank Oblique : 40

So this is what it’s look like after my 25 minutes of ”Fit Test”. I hope that I’ll see progress, and not only on paper!
Now, I did my ” Pure Cardio” training this morning since last night I wasn’t able to train ( I did a double shift on my job last night!) So I trade my ”Sunday Off” for a ”Friday Off” and I will finish my first week on Sunday Morning (No Doubt), August 19th.

Now this is how I looked after my first week, yes I did it!
Is there some oblique abs under the muffin top....

Did you started or already finished the Insanity Program from Beach Body?

Ok, I started the Insanity Program, from Beach Body, on Monday August 13th…

And I thought I was in shape… ok I know that this program is insane, super intense and it’s not for everyone… But I didn’t think I was so weak! Anyway, I started the program with the Fit Test and I have to do it every two weeks to see my evolution, so I’ll post, later, the result of my first Fit Test and watch my progression through the days!

I have to say that I already try the P90X program, 2 1/2 – 3 years ago, and I felt good to see all these muscles growing up, but after 2 months (P90X is 3 months) I had enough of the same training. Plus, the P90X program uses a stretch and a yoga program and I HATE yoga… So I was only doing this program for 4 or 5 days a week. The second month ended in December and with all the celebrations, Christmas, vacation outside my little home Gym, I wasn’t able to fufill my destiny with P90X. That’s a shame because I try to make excuses for not being able to finished it. The only good or valid reason was… Me. I was the one who stopped, I was the one who didn’t want to take an hour per day to do it and I’m the only one to blame!

When I saw the Insanity Program on TV, I was like: last time, after two months, I had enough so why not try this one and see?

Yesterday was my first real day of training and after only 5 or 6 minutes I was sweating and I was washed-out! The first video is only 42 minutes but it felt like hours… But it was nice to feel that way!

After work, tonight, I’ll try the second video and see how it goes! I’ll post my feedback of this first and intense week later!
